Also called Centre Counter.
Black hits the e4 pawn at once; after the exchange the queen comes out early.
After 1.e4 d5 2.exd5 Qxd5, Black’s queen is developed early and can be chased with tempo by 3.Nc3. Simple to learn and still sound.
